TestingMageia > Mageia 8 is being prepared, well then just test it from the start
=== Testing early, testing often ===
Based on release early, release often: next step is -- of course -- testing :-) and having users involved
I want to understand why
~- arduino-ide asks for dialout + lock group: lock seems not available now
~- when switching from wifi by freebox (from Sunlab to my home, for example), /etc/resolv.conf is not updated correctly? (I could force using FDN DNS...)
Currently broken
~- gnome-shell, using xfce which has been launched unexpectantly?
~- ping /mtr: check if IPv6 can be the cause
What works:
~- https://linuxfr.org https://mageiacauldron.tuxfamily.org in Firefox
~- what should work: http://mageia.org http://madb.mageia.org/ (address not found)
~- lxde: ok why does gnome do not boot?
=== 2019-10-23 ===
I was using gnome before, falling back to xfce works as well when will it work again ? in the long time
~- I entend to well with neoclust not to switch to KDE :)
~- I have to enter my password twice: once with xfce, twice with LXDE
~- I would prefer gdm back: one password and my preferred environment, gnome rather than xfce which is a bit limited (here 16 GB RAM, CPU core i7...)
~- slackware, debian, mageia, fedora rather than ubuntu or a derivative like linux mint which is just a change of desktop environment **typical** of _this_ distrib (what the heck o_O)
~- add your own argument here :-) (you can as Obama, Trump is not capable that's its problem, not mine, not yours :D) thanks to NSA to take into account this (even if it's not my own PC)

~- IPv6 being used ? using wifi on Zenbook :
~~- works nearly correctly with firefox,
~~- ping / mtr have some difficulties,
~~- iptraf is ok,
~~- dig works the second time (using free.fr IPv4 DNS)
~~- DNS resolution is a bit long
~- still the bug with /etc/resolv.conf when using wifi at 2 locations using freebox for ISP access
